Damn Elon Banned Me

This is why you need an email list.

Let me tell you a short story.

That involve me getting suspend on X earlier this year.

I forgot what day it was. But I was scrolling on X, doing my thing and engaging with other in my tight circle.

Saw this tweet from a pretty big creator and decided to write an innocent comment.

It was regarding skydiving.

The problem I wrote ‘jump of plane’.

30 seconds later.

I got a message on X saying my account was temporary suspended because the algorithm thought took that part of my tweet out of context.

And so Elon decided to suspend my account for the day.

All I can do was read tweets but not engage.

I was on timeout.

Why am I telling you this?

Well this should be a warning to you about relying on social platforms like X.

Anytime the algorithm might take something out of context. And well your suspended or worse kicked out of the platform.

What do you do now?

You can’t communicate with your followers.

You can’t export those followers because they are not yours.

This is why you need to start building an email list.

You don’t need to email your list every day like me. But if you every need to communicate with your followers you can through email.
